About Us

Born from Compassion. Built with Purpose.

Paws Hunger Foundation is a registered non-profit organization (Public Trust Reg. No. E-0039009), founded in 2020 and based in Mumbai. What began as a small act of kindness – feeding a few hungry strays – has grown into a nationwide movement driven by young changemakers and rooted in compassion, action, and impact.

From feeding thousands of stray animals each week to organizing large-scale vaccination, sterilization, and collaring drives, our mission is simple: create a safer, kinder world for strays, one street at a time.

Our Mission

To protect and uplift stray animals across India through consistent feeding, vaccinating, neutering, reflective collaring and community-driven action.

What We Do

🥣 Feed: We serve over 5,000 meals every week to stray dogs, cats, and other street animals through our dedicated network of local feeders across India.

💉 Vaccinate: We conduct vaccination drives to protect strays from deadly diseases like rabies and parvovirus – completing over 500+ vaccinations so far.

✂️ Neuter: Our sterilization campaigns have helped humanely control stray animal populations, with 100+ dogs and cats neutered to date.

🐾 Protect: We’ve distributed 1,000+ reflective collars to reduce road accidents and 300+ cement water bowls to ensure strays have access to clean drinking water year-round.

Our Story

Founded by Sarthak Moudgil & Pragati Gupta, Paws Hunger began with a simple yet powerful idea – that no animal should go hungry or be left unseen on our streets. What started as an initiative in college quickly expanded into a structured, pan-India volunteer network. Over the years, we’ve built a community of students, professionals, and everyday citizens who believe that even the smallest act of care can create ripple effects of change.

Why We Exist

India’s stray animal population is often overlooked – caught between neglect, danger, and a lack of structured support. We exist to change that. Through decentralized, community-driven models, we empower individuals to make a difference right where they live.

We’re not just an NGO. We’re a movement of empathy, resilience, and youth-powered action.
